Happy November!
Not much has changed on my end since last week, and after the year I’ve had, I’m calling that a gift. Two series are heading toward December, there’s a pile of books to talk about, and I have a few 2027 hints I’ve been sitting on.
The Richmond Academy Series: One Book Left
Trial by Wind came out last month and Shayla’s story is almost finished. Trial by Spirit lands in December to close out the year and the series.
This year has been a trial of its own (the pun is intentional and I’m not sorry). Writing a complete five-book series is something I never expected to get to do, and I’m so glad I got to tell Shayla’s whole story. I’m already feeling a little wistful about leaving her world.

Trial by Earth: Book three. The pivot point. Everything shifts.

The Not As Written Series: Wisteria Is Back December 1st
Book one is out, and book two has a cover and a release date.

Here are a few things I can tell you about next year:
- A twisted fairytale is coming, and this time it’s a full novel, not a short story.
- I’m going back to motorcycle romance for the first time in a while.
- The Not As Written trilogy finishes with book three.
The outlines are on my desk, and I’m having more fun than I expected.

From the Writing Cave
Full fall is here. The nights are cold, the days are crisp, and the cats have fully claimed the open balcony door.
I’m writing this on Election Day, and it goes out the day after. My tradition is to spend the day with friends, eating tacos and watching the coverage like it’s a sport. I’ll be at an appointment when this lands, so I’ll catch up on the news later. One of my friends’ kids voted for the first time this year, and it took me right back to my own first time. I remember how big it felt to finally be old enough. Whichever way you vote, I hope you got out there. It matters.
On the writing side, I’m editing and writing in a lot of worlds at once. I’m putting the last touches on Shayla’s world, which I’ll miss more than I can say, and I’m also deep in Wisteria’s. The 2027 outlines keep me busy too.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween and is enjoying November.
