| Hello Readers! Welcome to September! The month of falling leaves, cooling temperatures, fall season energy — and for me personally, approximately four simultaneous book releases. September is doing a lot. So am I. We are in this together. She’s Finally Here — Not Your Maniac Pixie Dream Girl Wisteria Creed is out in the world, and I have been waiting for this moment for almost two years. Here’s something I haven’t shared before. Wisteria started as a short story. A single short story with a character I liked so much I couldn’t let go of her. So I rewrote her into a novel. Then I rewrote the novel. Then I rewrote it again. I outlined the full three-book arc. I rewrote it some more. Two years. Multiple full rewrites. Because Wisteria refused to be anything less than exactly right — and honestly, she was correct to hold out.She is full of personality in a way that surprised even me when I wrote her. Half-Pixie, half-Sidhe Fae, graveyard-shift radio host, firm policy against being anyone’s idea of harmless. She is paranormal romance with urban fantasy bones, and she hits completely differently from the Richmond Academy series — which was always the point. She was built for a different world, a different reader, a different kind of story. And she is finally, gloriously out. Read Not Your Maniac Pixie Dream Girl nowAlready working on book two — Not Your Book Boyfriend — coming later this year. Wisteria has the life she fought for. New Avalon is about to send someone perfect to watch over her. Perfect is not what it looks like. More soon. The Richmond Academy Series — The Final Stretch Last week Trial by Earth dropped. Next month Trial by Air lands. In December, Shayla’s story ends. I need a moment. Here’s the full series — all available or pre-orderable right now: Trial by Fire — Book one. Available now and on Kindle Unlimited. Trial by Sea — Book two. Out now and on Kindle Unlimited. Trial by Earth — Book three. Out now and on Kindle Unlimited. Trial by Air — Book four. October 2026. Pre-order open now. Trial by Spirit — Book five. The finale. December 2026. Pre-order open now. Five books. One year. Three in your hands right now, two more on the way.If you’ve been waiting to binge — your moment is almost here. By December, the whole series will be complete and waiting for you. A Wild Year — And How It Actually Happened I know what it looks like from the outside. Five Richmond Academy books and a new series all in one year. It looks slightly unhinged, if I’m being honest with myself. Here’s the real story: I wrote a lot of these books last year and spent this year editing them. It was a long stretch of heavy writing followed by a long stretch of heavy editing — and now you’re seeing all of it arrive at once. It wasn’t five books written in twelve months so much as years of building finally hitting its release window simultaneously. Still busy. Still a lot. Still absolutely worth every single word. This year has been a wild ride in the best possible way, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it — except maybe the summer heat, which I would absolutely change retroactively if given the option. Anthologies Still Available Once Upon A Fairytale — A collection of original dark fantasy fairytales available for pre-order at $0.99. My contribution, Half-Coin Promise, features two best friends, a split coin, and a promise that carries them through labyrinths, fog-wrapped citadels, and cursed valleys all the way to their happily ever after. Seasons of Magic: Summer — Out now. My story is inside — emotional, transformative, and the kind of magic that stays with you. Pre-order Once Upon A Fairytale for $0.99 Grab Seasons of Magic: Summer From the Writing Cave September is here, and I am choosing to believe fall has officially arrived even if the desert hasn’t fully committed to the bit yet. There is something about fall season that feels deeply appropriate for a week when a paranormal romance launches and a YA fantasy series is barreling toward its finale. The writing cave is busy. The tea is hot. The cats are — as always — extremely present and completely unbothered by any of this.New month. New energy. So many books still to come. Thank you for being here through what has genuinely been the most productive and exciting year of my writing life. You’ve been a part of every single release, and that means everything.Happy Reading, Wendy P.S. Trial by Spirit — Shayla’s ending, the finale of the Richmond Academy series — is being written right now. December is the destination. I have been living inside this series for over a year, and writing the last book feels like something I can’t fully describe yet. You’ll hear about it when I figure out the words. Stay close. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
